Easter

Robert had his first egg hunt. He liked it. He was just starting to walk, so it was tough to keep up with all the older kids. Daddy was nice enough to pick him up to get the egg that no one else was able to spot!

He was hanging out with Popo and was doing great but then looked at Booby (the guy in the overalls) and started crying. It took us a while to figure out that was what made him so upset. I felt sorry for my Popo, but it wasn't him.

Robert had a Great first Easter!

Crawfish Festival 2011

Robert had his first festival!! We took him to the Spring Crawfish Festival! I had crawfish for the first time. I liked it, but a little barbarick. Robert did not try the cuisine (too spicy for his little taste buds. I am sure he would have tried it and eaten a few) We also went to the carnival. That was a little to much for him. Robert played a carni game. Surprise, he won a prize!

Kevin took him on a carousel ride. Look at the progression of the pictures. Robert is on the horse and then decided he DID NOT like it. It was going a little faster than the norm. Kevin said he was a little dizzy when he came off.

1. OK Dad I got this.. I've done this before 2. No way Dad this is way to fast!

He danced to the zydeco music and walked all around. All in all he had fun!

It is too hot to play outside with out water

We are still here...

I know that it has been a while since I have posted. It looked like Kevin was going to be right about me and this blog (refer to my first entry), but I was not going to let that happen. I also like sharing the pictures and video of the cutest and funniest kid in our house. We have been pretty busy. What has really been good is we got a new internet service. I can now be on my computer and you tube without hardly any hassles!! I may have not been able to keep up with the blog like I should but I have still been able to take pictures and video!!

Mother's Day I had to work :(

But I have an amazing husband; who even though he hates coming to the hospital and especially the children's hospital, brought Robert up there to have lunch with me! We ate my favorite sandwich (Jimmy Johns) and then played in the playroom at the hospital. It was so much fun. It was bitter sweet I loved that they came up there but I was so sad to see them go. It was even harder to get back to work.

I was cooking dinner in the kitchen and Robert got really quiet...I looked into the living room and this is what I saw. Robert was kickin' back watching Cars. That is the epitome of relaxation.

I heard this why you have children!! :)

Bitsy is such a Trooper

Kevin is always trying to catch Robert and Bitsy playing. I am not sure if this is what he sees but I thought this was funny. Poor thing she doesn't stand a chance now.

12 month check up

Robert had his 12 mo check up. Everything was great! Look at how much he has grown. I know we all know he is a big boy but I have actual numbers. When he came into this world he weighed 8.4 oz and 20 1/4 inches long; at 12 months he weighs 27.4 lbs and 31 inches long. Robert is 95% in weight and 90% for height. Kevin and I are proud and blessed to have such a healthy happy little boy!

Fun in the Sun!

It is getting a little warmer these days and Robert loves to be outside. Robert was given a few water toys for his birthday. We had to try them out. He is still very excited about walking so well on his own to really enjoy the toys but I can tell he likes to get sprayed by the water. Maybe when it gets hotter he will really like having his own pool in his yard!

Beware Robert takes a spill in the pool. Don't worry he makes a full recovery.

ROBERT IS ONE!!!

Robert is one!! Kevin and I brought in his first year with a bang. We had a party with all of our friend s and family that was so fantastic! It had a moon bounce that all of the kids loved including Robert. He couldn't jump in it all on his own but when we jumped with him a huge smile was on his face. I made a little cake for him with a big dinosaur on the top. That was a big hit! He was a little skeptical of it at first; after all it was the first time he had anything sweet. He ate a little and then Katie, Andrew and Monica had come to help eat the cake. It was a great time. He received a lot of great presents. He plays with them all! He had such a great time that he was POOPED by 7:00. He did very good with all the people that were around to love on him and help celebrate his special day.

The party was the weekend before his actual birthday. To celebrate the day that he came into this world Kevin and I had a fun family day planned.

We went to Kemah with our birthday boy. It was a lot of fun. We walked up and down the boardwalk, looked at the water, all the rides, people and birds. It was stimulation overload, but great! There was a part at Kemah that was like a little splash pad. Robert wasn't that into it at first, but then was okay with a little water splashing on him. We then drove north and Robert was OUT in his car seat from all the fun!

catching up

Robert just turned one! He is walking all on his own now. It is fantastic! Kevin and I just love to sit and watch him explore the world on his own. He is so cute how he waddles around the house.

He loves to pick things up and carry them around the house, the bigger the better. We also bought him a couple of balls, one really big one and one medium sized one. Robert likes to carry those around and then try to bounce them like his Daddy does. His Daddy is the coolest thing to roam the earth. Don't worry he loves his Mommy too. He throws his Mommy some love after a few days of all Daddy all the time.

Aunt Kari, Uncle Will, and his cousins got Robert a cozy coupe car for his birthday. He loves this car! This morning he got in the car on his own and looked up at me with his hands on the wheel and this look on his face that said "come on Mom make it go". It was very cute!
